And also in this same year, they came down with a numerous army to war against the people of Moronihah, or against the army of Moronihah, in the which they were beaten, and driven back again to their own lands, suffering great loss.

That same year, the Lamanites came with a large army to fight the people of Moronihah and his army. The Lamanites were beaten and went back to their own lands. They lost many people.

They came down with a large army to attack Moronihah’s people. But they were defeated and driven back to their own lands with heavy losses.
