And it came to pass after they had took them, they caused them to enter into a covenant, that they would no more take up their weapons of war against the Nephites.

After they took them, they made them make a promise that they would not fight against the Nephites again.

After capturing them, they made the survivors swear an oath that they would never again take up weapons against the Nephites.
