Alma 61:4

And it is those who have sought to take away the judgement seat from me, that have been the cause of this great iniquity; for they have used great flattery; and they have led away the hearts of many people, which will be the cause of sore affliction among us; they have withheld our provisions, and have daunted our freemen, that they have not come unto you.

These people tried to take my job as governor. They have caused this great sin. They used nice words to trick people. They led many people away from what is right. This will cause us a lot of trouble. They kept our supplies from reaching you. They scared our free men so they would not come help you.

“These people want to take my position from me, and they’re the ones behind all this trouble. They’ve used smooth talk to win over a lot of people, which is going to cause us serious pain. They’ve cut off our supplies and intimidated our soldiers so they can’t reach you.”
