Alma 60:5

but behold, great has been the slaughter among our people; yea, thousands have fallen by the sword, while it might have otherwise been, if ye had rendered unto our armies sufficient strength and succor for them. Yea, great has been your neglect towards us.

But many of our people have been killed. Thousands have died by the sword. This did not have to happen. If you had given our armies enough strength and help, they would not have died. You have not helped us.

But the slaughter among our people has been horrific. Thousands have fallen by the sword when it didn’t have to be that way—if only you’d sent our armies the strength and support they needed. Your neglect has been enormous.
