And now behold, I say unto you, I fear exceedingly that the judgements of God will come upon this people, because of their exceeding slothfulness; yea, even the slothfulness of our government, and their exceeding great neglect towards their brethren, yea towards those which have been slain:

Simple English

I am scared that God will judge this people. This is because they are so lazy. Our government is lazy. They have not helped their people who have been killed.

Paraphrase

I’m terrified that God’s judgment will fall on this nation because of its laziness—the laziness of our government and its catastrophic neglect of those who’ve been killed.
