Alma 58:8

But it came to pass that we did receive food, which was guarded to us by an army of two thousand men, to our assistance; and this is all the assistance which we did receive, to defend ourselves and our country from falling into the hands of our enemies; yea, to contend with an enemy which was innumerable.

Then we got food. An army of 2,000 men brought it to us. This was all the help we got to keep ourselves and our country safe from our enemies. We had to fight an enemy that had too many soldiers to count.

Finally, food arrived—guarded by an army of two thousand men who stayed to help us. That was all the help we got to defend ourselves and our homeland from an enemy that seemed endless.
