And now, in those critical circumstances, it became a very serious matter to determine concerning these prisoners of war; nevertheless, we did resolve to send them down to the land of Zarahemla; therefore we selected a part of our men, and gave them charge over our prisoners, to go down to the land of Zarahemla.

In these hard times, it was very hard to decide what to do with these prisoners of war. But we decided to send them to the land of Zarahemla. So we picked some of our men to take the prisoners there.

In these critical circumstances, we had to make a hard decision about what to do with these prisoners. In the end, we decided to send them to Zarahemla. We picked some of our men and put them in charge of marching the prisoners south.
