And it came to pass that not many days had passed away, before the Lamanites began to lose all hopes of succor; therefore they yielded up the city into our hands; and thus we had accomplished our designs, in obtaining the city Cumeni.

Not many days passed before the Lamanites lost all hope of help. So they gave us the city. This is how we got the city of Cumeni.

Within a few days, the Lamanites lost all hope of rescue. They surrendered the city. We’d accomplished what we set out to do—Cumeni was ours.
