Alma 56:47

Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers, than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, that God would deliver them.

They had never fought before. But they were not afraid to die. They thought more about their fathers’ freedom than about their own lives. Their mothers had taught them that if they believed, God would save them.

“They’d never fought in battle before. But they didn’t fear death. They cared more about freedom—the freedom their fathers had—than about their own lives. Their mothers had taught them that if they didn’t doubt, God would protect them.”
