And it came to pass that Jacob, being their leader, being also a Zoramite, and having an unconquerable spirit, he led the Lamanites forth to battle, with exceeding fury against Moroni.

Jacob was their leader. He was also a Zoramite. He had a spirit that would not give up. He led the Lamanites to fight with great anger against Moroni.

But Jacob, their leader—also a Zoramite with an unconquerable spirit—led the Lamanites into battle with savage fury against Moroni.
