Alma 5:37

1830 Edition

O ye workers of iniquity; ye that are puffed up in the vain things of the world; ye that have professed to have known the ways of righteousness; nevertheless ye have gone astray, as sheep having no shepherd, notwithstanding a shepherd hath called after you, and art still calling after you, but ye will not hearken unto his voice.

Changes

O yeou workers of iniquity; yeou that are puffed up in the vain things of the world;, yeou that have professed to have known the ways of righteousness; nevertheless ye have gone astray, as sheep having no shepherd, notwithstanding a shepherd haths called after you, and artis still calling after you, but yeou will not hearken unto his voice.!

Simple English

You who do wrong! You who are full of pride about worthless things in the world! You who have said you know the ways of what is right! But you have gone the wrong way, like sheep with no shepherd. A shepherd has called out to you and is still calling you. But you will not listen to his voice.

Paraphrase

You who do evil! You who are caught up in the empty things of the world! You claim to know the ways of righteousness, but you’ve wandered off like sheep without a shepherd—even though a shepherd has called after you and is still calling, but you won’t listen to his voice.
