Behold, I can tell you: did not my father Alma believe in the words which was delivered by the mouth of Abinadi? And was he not a holy prophet? Did he not speak the word of God, and my father Alma believe them?

Simple English

I can tell you. My father Alma believed the words that Abinadi spoke. Abinadi was a holy prophet. He spoke God’s message. My father Alma believed his words.

I can tell you: My father Alma believed the words delivered by Abinadi. Wasn’t Abinadi a holy prophet? Didn’t he speak God’s word? And didn’t my father believe him?
