Alma 48:25

yea, they could not bear that their brethren should rejoice over the blood of the Nephites, so long as there were any who should keep the commandments of God: for the promise of the Lord were, If they should keep his commandments, they should prosper in the land.

They could not let their brothers be happy about killing Nephites. Not as long as there were people who kept God’s commandments. The Lord had promised that if they kept his commandments, they would do well in the land.

They couldn’t bear to let their brothers celebrate the slaughter of Nephites, not as long as there were people who kept God’s commandments. The Lord had promised them that if they kept his commandments, they would prosper in the land.
