Alma 47:22

But behold, as the king came out to meet him, Amalickiah caused that his servants should go forth to meet the king. And they went and bowed themselves before the king, as if to reverence him, because of his greatness.

As the king came out to meet him, Amalickiah sent his servants to meet the king. They went and bowed down before the king. They acted like they were honoring him because he was so great.

But as the king approached, Amalickiah sent his servants forward to meet him. They bowed low before the king, as though showing respect for his greatness.
