And it came to pass that Moroni caused that the work of death should cease again among the people. And it came to pass, that he took the weapons of war from the Lamanites; and after they had entered into a covenant with him of peace, they were suffered to depart into the wilderness.

Moroni made the killing stop again among the people. He took the weapons from the Lamanites. After they made a promise of peace with him, they were allowed to leave into the wilderness.

Moroni stopped the killing. He took the Lamanites’ weapons, and after they’d made their covenant of peace, he let them go into the wilderness.
