Alma 43:51

Now the Lamanites were more numerous; yea, by more than double the number of the Nephites; nevertheless, they were driven insomuch that they were gathered together in one body, in the valley, upon the bank, by the river Sidon;

The Lamanites had more soldiers. They had more than twice as many soldiers as the Nephites. But they were driven back so much that they were pushed together in one group in the valley by the river Sidon.

The Lamanites outnumbered the Nephites—more than two to one. But they were driven back until they were all forced together in one place in the valley, at the riverbank by the Sidon.
