Alma 43:13

And the people of Ammon did give unto the Nephites a large portion of their substance, to support their armies; and thus the Nephites were compelled, alone, to withstand against the Lamanites, which were a compound of Laman and Lemuel, and the sons of Ishmael, and all those which had dissented from the Nephites, which were Amalekites, and Zoramites, and the descendants of the priests of Noah.

The people of Ammon gave the Nephites a lot of their supplies to help support the army. So the Nephites had to fight the Lamanites by themselves. The Lamanite army included descendants of Laman and Lemuel, the sons of Ishmael, and all those who had left the Nephites. This included the Amalekites, the Zoramites, and the descendants of Noah’s priests.

The people of Ammon gave the Nephites a large portion of their wealth to support the Nephite armies. That meant the Nephites had to stand alone against the Lamanites—who were made up of descendants of Laman, Lemuel, and Ishmael, plus all the Nephite defectors: Amalekites, Zoramites, and descendants of Noah’s priests.
