Alma 39:16

And now my son, this was the ministry unto which ye were called, to declare these glad tidings unto this people, to prepare their minds; or rather that salvation might come unto them, that they may prepare the minds of their children to hear the word at the time of his coming.

This was the ministry work you were called to do. You were supposed to tell this good news to these people. You were supposed to prepare their minds. When you do this, salvation can come to them. Then they can prepare their children’s minds to hear the word when Christ comes.

That was the ministry you were called to—to share this good news with these people, to prepare them. Or rather, so salvation could reach them and they could prepare their own children to hear his message when he comes.
