Alma 38:1

My son, give ear to my words: for I say unto you, even as I said unto Helaman, That inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God, ye shall prosper in the land; and inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God, ye shall be cast off from his presence.

My son, listen to my words. I say to you, just as I said to Helaman: If you obey God’s commands, you will do well in the land. If you don’t obey God’s commands, you will be cut off from his presence.

My son, listen closely to what I’m telling you—the same thing I told Helaman: If you keep God’s commandments, you’ll thrive in this land. If you don’t, you’ll be cut off from his presence.
