Alma 34:32

For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold, the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.

This life is the time for people to get ready to meet God. The day of this life is the day for people to do their work.

This life is when we prepare to meet God. This is the day for doing the work.
