for I do not mean that ye all of you have been compelled to humble yourselves; for I verily believe there are some among you which would humble themselves, let them be in whatsoever circumstances they might.

Simple English

I do not think all of you have been forced to be humble. I believe there are some among you who would choose to be humble no matter what happens to them.

“Not all of you were forced to be humble. I truly believe some of you would humble yourselves no matter what your circumstances.”
