I say unto you, It is well that ye are cast out of your synagogues, that ye may be humble, and that ye may learn wisdom; for it is necessary that ye should learn wisdom; for it is because that ye are cast out, that ye are despised of your brethren; because of your exceeding poverty, that ye are brought to a lowliness of heart; for ye are necessarily brought to be humble.

Simple English

It is good that you were kicked out of your churches. This can help you be humble. This can help you learn wisdom. You need to learn wisdom. You were kicked out. Your brothers hate you because you are so poor. This has brought you to be humble in heart. You were forced to be humble.

Paraphrase

“I’m telling you—it’s actually good that you were thrown out of the synagogues. It made you humble. It forced you to learn wisdom. And you needed to learn wisdom. Being cast out and despised by your own people because of your poverty—that brought you to a place of humility. Your circumstances forced you to be humble.”
