Alma 31:24

Now when Alma saw this, his heart was grieved: for he saw that they were a wicked and a perverse people; yea, he saw that their hearts were set upon gold, and upon silver, and upon all manner of fine goods.

When Alma saw this, his heart was sad. He saw that they were a wicked and twisted people. He saw that their hearts were set on gold and silver and all kinds of fine goods.

When Alma saw all this, his heart sank. These were wicked, twisted people. Their hearts were obsessed with gold, silver, and luxurious possessions.
