Alma 31:1

Now it came to pass that after the end of Korihor, Alma having received tidings that the Zoramites were perverting the ways of the Lord, and that Zoram, which was their leader, was leading the hearts of the people to bow down to dumb idols, &c., his heart again began to sicken, because of the iniquity of the people;

Simple English

After Korihor died, Alma heard that the Zoramites were turning away from the Lord’s ways. Zoram was their leader. He was leading the people to bow down to idols. Alma’s heart became sick because of the sin of the people.

Paraphrase

After the episode with Korihor, Alma received troubling news: the Zoramites were abandoning the Lord’s ways. Their leader, Zoram, was leading the people to worship worthless idols. Alma’s heart sank at the thought of such wickedness spreading among his people.
