But Alma said unto him, If this curse should be taken from thee, thou wouldst again lead away the hearts of this people; therefore, it shall be unto thee, even as the Lord will.

Changes

But Alma said unto him,: If this curse should be taken from thee, thou wouldst again lead away the hearts of this people; therefore, it shall be unto thee, even as the Lord will.

Simple English

But Alma said to him: If this curse was taken from you, you would lead these people’s hearts away again. So it will be just like the Lord wants.

Paraphrase

But Alma said, “If this curse were removed, you’d just lead people’s hearts astray again. So it will be with you as the Lord decides.”
