Alma 30:2

Now their dead were not numbered, because of the greatness of their numbers; neither were the dead of the Nephites numbered. But it came to pass that after they had buried their dead, and also after the days of fasting, and mourning, and prayer, (and it was in the sixteenth year of the reign of the Judges over the people of Nephi,) there began to be continual peace throughout all the land;

There were too many dead to count on both sides. After they buried their dead, they had days of fasting, sadness, and prayer. This was in the 16th year the judges ruled over the Nephites. Then peace came to all the land.

There were too many bodies to count—both Lamanite and Nephite. After they had buried their dead and observed days of fasting, mourning, and prayer—this was in the sixteenth year of the judges’ reign—a lasting peace settled over the land.
