And Ammon saith, I will go and inquire of the Lord, and if he saith unto us, Go down unto our brethren, will ye go?

Ammon said, “I will go and ask the Lord. If he says to go down to our relatives, will you go?”
Paraphrase
Ammon replied, “I’ll ask the Lord. If he tells us to go to our brothers, will you go?”
