Alma 24:7

Now these are the words which he said unto the people concerning the matter: I thank my God, my beloved people, that our great God has in goodness sent these our brethren, the Nephites, unto us to preach unto us, and to convince us of the traditions of our wicked fathers.

Here are the words he said to the people about this: I thank my God, my dear people, that our great God was good enough to send these brothers, the Nephites, to us. They preached to us and showed us that our fathers’ teachings were wrong.

This is what the king said to his people: “I thank God, my dear people, that in his goodness he sent our Nephite brothers to preach to us and open our eyes to the lies our fathers taught us.
