Alma 24:23

Now when the Lamanites saw that their brethren would not flee from the sword, neither would they turn aside to the right hand or to the left, but that they would lay down and perish, and praised God even in the very act of perishing under the sword;

The Lamanites saw that their brothers wouldn’t run from the sword. They wouldn’t turn to the right or to the left. They just laid down and died. They praised God even while they were dying under the sword.

The Lamanites watched as their brothers refused to run from the sword. They wouldn’t dodge or fight back. They just lay there and died, praising God even as the blade fell.
