Alma 24:21

And it came to pass that when the people saw that they were coming against them, they went out to meet them, and prostrated themselves before them to the earth, and began to call on the name of the Lord; and thus they were in this attitude, when the Lamanites began to fall upon them, and began to slay them with the sword;

When the people saw the Lamanites coming against them, they went out to meet them. They laid down on the ground in front of them. They began to call on the name of the Lord. They were lying there when the Lamanites fell upon them and began to kill them with the sword.

When the people saw the army coming, they went out to meet them. They lay down on the ground before their attackers and began calling on God’s name. They were still in this position when the Lamanites fell on them and started cutting them down with swords.
