And Aaron answered him and said unto him, Believest thou that there is a God? And the king saith, I know that the Amalekites say that there is a God, and I have granted unto them that they should build sanctuaries, that they might assemble themselves together, to worship him. And if now thou sayest there is a God, behold, I will believe.

Changes

And Aaron answered him and said unto him,: Believest thou that there is a God? And the king saith,d: I know that the Amalekites say that there is a God, and I have granted unto them that they should build sanctuaries, that they mightay assemble themselves together, to worship him. And if now thou sayest there is a God, behold, I will believe.

Simple English

Aaron answered him and said to him: Do you believe there is a God? The king said: I know that the Amalekites say there is a God. I have let them build places where they can meet together to worship him. If you say there is a God, I will believe.

Paraphrase

Aaron asked him, “Do you believe there’s a God?” The king said, “I know the Amalekites say there is, and I’ve let them build sanctuaries to worship him. If you say there’s a God, I’ll believe it.”
