Alma 17:7

nevertheless they departed out of the land of Zarahemla, and took their swords, and their spears, and their bows, and their arrows, and their slings; and this they done that they might provide food for themselves while in the wilderness:

But they left the land of Zarahemla. They took their swords, spears, bows, arrows, and slings. They did this so they could get food while in the wilderness.

They left Zarahemla armed with swords, spears, bows, arrows, and slings—not to fight, but to hunt for food in the wilderness.
