Alma 17:5

Now these are the circumstances which attended them in their journeyings, for they had many afflictions; they did suffer much, both in body and in mind; such as hunger, thirst and fatigue, and also much labor in the spirit.

Here is what happened to them on their travels. They had many hard times. They suffered a lot in body and mind. They were hungry, thirsty, and tired. They also worked very hard in the Spirit.

But their journey had been brutal. They’d suffered terribly—physically and emotionally. Hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and deep spiritual labor.
