Alma 15:16

And it came to pass that Alma and Amulek, Amulek having forsaken all his gold, and his silver, and his precious things, which was in the land of Ammonihah, for the word of God, he being rejected by those which were once his friends, and also by his father and his kindred;

Amulek had given up all his gold and silver and nice things in the land of Ammonihah. He did this for God’s word. His friends turned against him. His father and his family also turned against him.

Amulek had given up everything—his gold, his silver, all his wealth in Ammonihah—for the sake of God’s word. His old friends rejected him. His father and relatives turned their backs on him.
