Alma 14:1

And it came to pass that after he had made an end of speaking unto the people, many of them did believe on his words, and began to repent, and to search the Scriptures;

After he finished speaking to the people, many of them believed his words. They started to repent and read the Scriptures.

After Alma finished speaking, many people believed what he said and started turning their lives around. They began searching the Scriptures.
