Now this Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem; and his people had waxed strong in iniquity and abominations; yea, they had all gone astray: they were full of all manner of wickedness;

This Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem. His people had become very sinful. They had all gone the wrong way. They were full of all kinds of badness.

Melchizedek was king over the land of Salem. His people had grown deeply wicked—corrupt and lost in every kind of evil. They’d all gone astray.
