Alma 12:21

What does this Scripture mean, which saith that God placed Cherubims and a flaming sword on the east of the garden of Eden, lest our first parents should enter and partake of the fruit of the tree of life, and live forever? And thus we see that there was no possible chance that they should live forever.

What does the Scripture mean when it says God placed angels and a flaming sword east of the garden of Eden? It was to keep Adam and Eve from going in and eating from the tree of life. It would have made them live forever. So we see they had no chance to live forever.

What about the scripture that says God placed cherubim and a flaming sword at the east side of the Garden of Eden to keep our first parents from eating from the tree of life and living forever? Doesn’t that prove they had no chance of living forever?“
