Changes

nNevertheless, after all this, I never have known much of the ways of the Lord, and his mysteries and marvellous power. I said I never had known much of these things; but behold, I mistake, for I have seen much of his mysteries and his marvellous power; yea, even in the preservation of the lives of this people;.

Simple English

But even with all this, I never knew much about the Lord’s ways. I didn’t know about his mysteries and amazing power. Wait, I was wrong. I have seen his mysteries and his amazing power. I’ve seen how he has kept this people alive.

Paraphrase

But despite all that, I never paid much attention to the Lord’s ways—his mysteries and his incredible power. Actually, let me take that back. I have seen his mysteries and power at work—I’ve watched him protect this people.
