4 Nephi 1:29

And again, there was another church, which denied the Christ; and they did persecute the true church of Christ, because of their humility, and their belief in Christ; and they did despise them, because of the many miracles which were wrought among them;

There was another church that did not believe in Christ. They hurt the true church of Christ. They looked down on them because they were humble and believed in Christ. They hated them because of all the miracles they did.

Another church emerged that denied Christ altogether. They persecuted Christ’s true followers, mocking their humility and faith, despising the miracles that happened among them.
