And in one place they were heard to cry, saying: O that we had repented before this great and terrible day, and then would our brethren have been spared, and they would not have been burned in that great city Zarahemla.

In one place people were heard crying: “We wish we had changed our ways before this terrible day! Then our brothers wouldn’t have been burned in the great city of Zarahemla.”

In one place they cried out: “If only we had repented before this terrible day! Our brothers would have been spared—they wouldn’t have burned in Zarahemla.”
