3 Nephi 4:2

But behold there was no wild beasts nor game in those lands which had been deserted by the Nephites, and there was no game for the robbers save it were in the wilderness.

But there were no wild animals or game in the lands the Nephites had left. The robbers could only find game in the wild places.

But there was no wild game left in those deserted lands—nothing for the robbers to hunt except in the deep wilderness.
