3 Nephi 3:23

And the land which was appointed was the land of Zarahemla, and the land which was between the land of Zarahemla and the land Bountiful; yea, to the line which was between the land Bountiful and the land Desolation;

The place they were told to go was the land of Zarahemla. It was also the land between the land of Zarahemla and the land Bountiful. It went up to the line between the land Bountiful and the land Desolation.

The gathering place was in the land of Zarahemla, and the region between Zarahemla and the land Bountiful—up to the line separating Bountiful from the land Desolation.
