3 Nephi 26:2

And he saith, These Scriptures which ye had not with you, the Father commanded that I should give unto you: for it was wisdom in him that they should be given unto future generations.

He said: “You didn’t have these Scriptures with you. The Father told me to give them to you. He was wise to give them. He wanted future generations to have them.”

He said, “These scriptures you didn’t have before—the Father wanted me to give them to you. He knew they would be wisdom for future generations.”
