3 Nephi 10:14

And now whoso readeth, let him understand; he that hath the scriptures, let him search them, and see and behold if all these deaths and destructions by fire, and by smoke, and by tempests, and by whirlwinds, and by the opening of the earth to receive them, and all these things, is not unto the fulfilling of the prophecies of many of the holy prophets.

If you are reading this, try to understand. If you have the scriptures, look through them. See if all these deaths and destruction—by fire, by smoke, by storms, by windstorms, and by the earth opening up to swallow people—came true just as the holy prophets said they would.

Let anyone reading this understand: go search the scriptures. Look and see whether all these deaths and destructions—by fire, by smoke, by storms, by whirlwinds, by the earth opening up to swallow people—weren’t exactly what the holy prophets predicted would happen.
