But wo unto the rich, which are rich as to the things of the world. For because that they are rich, they despise the poor, and they persecute the meek, and their hearts are upon their treasures; wherefore their treasure is their God. And behold, their treasure shall perish with them also.

Simple English

But trouble comes to rich people who are rich in things of the world. Because they are rich, they look down on poor people. They hurt kind people. They care about their treasures. So their treasure is their god. Their treasure will be destroyed and they will too.

But disaster is coming for the rich who are rich in worldly things. Because they’re wealthy, they look down on the poor and persecute the humble. Their hearts are set on their treasures. Their treasure is their god. And their treasure will be destroyed, along with them.
