And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water, to fulfil all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water.

If Jesus, who is perfect, needed to be baptized with water to do what’s right, then how much more do we need to be baptized? We aren’t perfect.

Now think about this: if the Lamb of God, even though he was holy, needed to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness, then how much more do we need it? We’re not holy.
