2 Nephi 31:20

wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

So you must keep going with faith in Christ. Have a bright hope and a love for God and all people. If you keep going, learning from what Christ said, and keep going to the end, then the Father says: “You will live forever.”

So you have to press forward with steadfast faith in Christ, with a bright burning hope, and with love for God and everyone around you. If you press forward, feeding on Christ’s word and enduring to the end, then the Father says you’ll have eternal life.
