2 Nephi 26:8

But behold, the righteous, that hearken unto the words of the prophets, and destroy them not, but look forward unto Christ with steadfastness for the signs which are given, notwithstanding all persecutions; behold they are they which shall not perish.

But the righteous people who listen to the words of the prophets and don’t reject them will not die. They look forward to Christ without giving up, even when they face hard times. They watch for the signs.

But the righteous—those who listen closely to the prophets’ words and don’t reject them, who look forward to Christ with steady faith even when they see the signs, despite all persecution—they are the ones who will not be destroyed.
