2 Nephi 26:33

1830 Edition

for none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him, and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen, and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

Changes

fFor none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him, and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen,; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

Simple English

None of these bad things come from the Lord. He does what is good among people. He does nothing except what is clear to people. He invites them all to come to him and share in his goodness. He does not turn away anyone who comes to him, black and white, slave and free, male and female. He remembers the heathen. All are the same to God, both Jew and Gentile.

Paraphrase

None of these evils come from the Lord. He does what is good among people. He does nothing unless it’s clear to people. He invites everyone to come to him and receive his goodness. He turns no one away—Black and white, enslaved and free, male and female. He remembers people of all nations. Everyone is equal before God—Jew and Gentile alike.
