wherefore, as they which have been destroyed, have been destroyed speedily; and the multitude of their terrible ones, shall be as chaff that passeth away. Yea, thus saith the Lord God: It shall be at an instant, suddenly.

Simple English

So those who have been destroyed were destroyed quickly. The crowd of their terrible ones will be like dust that blows away. The Lord God says: It will happen in an instant, suddenly.

Paraphrase

So just as those who were destroyed met destruction quickly, the great army of their enemies will be like chaff blown away. This is what the Lord God says: It will happen in an instant, suddenly.
